Early Flapper Cigarette Dispenser
Lever type, make in the 1920's - probably between 1925-1930. The lever type dispenser was the predacessor to the plunger type dispenser, making this the first type, thus more valuable I am sure. Item is made of wood and has a removable lid with cavat for refilling cigarettes. On the front of the dispenser is a lady wearing a turbin fashioned with feathers and jewels. There are no markings to know for sure that this was manufactured by Kendall & Jackson out of San Francisco, but that is what I have been told. The cigarettes are dispensed through her mouth. There is some light wear to the turbin where a small piece has fallen off over the years. She wears 2 earrings as well. There are some places on the dispenser where the coloring has rubbed off a bit. The feathers on the turbin are in good condition and the felt on the bottom of the dispenser is original and in very good condition.
Re: Early Flapper Cigarette Dispenser (lever type)
