Antique Rocking Chair

Description

The rocking chair has a few scratches and nicks along the bottom of it. I have attached photos so you can see what it looks like.

Got this rocker as a hand down from my wife's grandma. It has been in her family for a while. Don't know much about it want to know if it's worth anything and what kind of rocking chair it is.

These were originally made by the Thonet Brothers, who revolutionized the production of bentwood chairs during the 19th century, but unless you have labeled original it's value is very limited. The reason being these bentwood rockers have been reproduced by the millions since the 1970's. While an original Thonet can sell for over $1200.00 a repro often sells for under $100.00.
