Reed and Barton Teapot

Description I have a Reed and Barton teapot standing 11" tall with a leaf on the handle and small lion heads on base and tip of lid. The pot is quite worn, therefore possibly silverplated? Has the following numbers on bottom inside: 2550 w/ 6 under these. On the actual botom base is: MFD and PLATED B7, Reed and Barton, Design, PATD APRIL 18 1871 w/ 2 carved under this. Would like any information regarding its possible history, year of manufacturer and possible worth. Hope you can help. I have included pictures that I hope helps. Thanks.
