John Boultbee oil painting "Hunter in Landscape"ke

By Elisaid Elizabeth, 3 March, 2010
Description

In researching John Robert Boultbee, I know he was famous as an artist and teacher, starting a trend painting farm animals. He produced many paintings throughout the late 1700's. I believe the largest collection of Boultbee paintings makes its home at a horse racing/breeding facility in England. I also was made aware that the last Boultbee painting sold at aution at Sotheby's, apprx. 1982, was SMALLER than my painting as sold for well over $80,000.00. If anyone has information regarding this beauty, please contact me.
