1808 Admiral Gardner shipwreck coin.

Description

This coin was recovered from the shipwreck of the Admiral Gardner that went down in a storm off the coast of England, near Dover on January 25, 1809. This coin was minted in Birmingham, England, for use by the British East India Company in India. This coin is 26 mm; (about 1 inch), in diameter. It weighs 5 grams and is minted out of pure copper. This coin is in circulated condition and it comes with a certificate of authenticity, explaining the coin and the shipwreck details.
