Late 1800's Copper Bathtub by John Trageser Steam Copper Works in New York

Description This tub has been in an island summer cottage since it was built in 1894. Since there was no running water available, the tub has never had faucets; however, the location for the appropriate fixtures is evident on the outside of the tub. It does have a drain, and overflow pipe, and even the original stopper! It is made double thickness with the inside shell of copper and the outer of tin, and has a varnished wooden rail. As can be seen, the fancy cast iron legs extend all the way up the seams and attach to the oak rim.
