Peter Max lithograph of Andy Warhol with a mustache. It picture/paper measure 11 x 11in. It is also signed by the artist in pencil and is no. 65 of 300.
If this is real then it can potentially be worth a great deal of money. I went to Peter Max' show in Beverly Hills last year and many of his new paintings were going for many thousands of dollars. My suggestion would be to take this to a reputable art dealer for an estimate. Don't know where you're located, but some of the major museums that have a fine arts section will sometimes look at your painting to let you know if it's worth anything or original. It's often a great place to start, but I would still follow up with a bona fide appraisal house such as Sothebys or Bonhams.
