Our friend gave us this chair for our daughters. He got it at an antique auction several years ago and that is all the information I know about it. Looking at it to me it looks like it might be worth something. I saw where there was one similar on this website that a lady had and couldn't find anything about it either. Any information would be appreciated.
I have two carved wood figurines, a monkey and an elephant ādressedā in suits. The wood is brown with black streaking on each. There is a small hole in the right hand of each as if they were holding something or they were attached to something. There is also a hole in the bottom of each right foot. They are 5ā tall
I've inherited three snuff bottles. They are glass. I don't know their age and there are no markings to indicate their maker. They seem to run from $50-$5000 each. Neither would surprise me. Two of them are clear etched glass with covered glass overlay. The third is green glass in the shape of a fish. I understand symbolism plays a role in value; both the overly pieces have unique characters I can't identify. The blue might have a combination fish/sea creature/bird situation. The brown looks like a lion body with a mushroom/monkey top and overall mermaid vibes.
This China cabinet was my grandmother's. It is in good condition with superficial scratches. The top separates from the bottom. The lower middle drawers open to a cabinet with a single shelf inside.
A print from the original Hokusai painting, Shower below the summit. It's been in my mother's family for some time, before it was in our family, and given to me by my mother.
