This item belonged to my late friend who traveled to Nepal, India, Tibet in the early 1970's, but I do not know where it is purchased. I have been told it is hand embroidered with silk thread. This measures 28" x 29". It is very good condition, with a few small stains, very few loose threads, and unfinished edges. I would appreciate if anyone could give me any advice regarding the age of the piece, along with an estimate of value.
Thank you!

a small decorative box with intricate enamel designs. The box features a portrait of a person with a beard and helmet on the lid, along with ornate patterns. The base of the box has an inscription that reads "E. Balon Blois," which likely refers to the artisan or the place where it was made.
E. Balon is a known French porcelain artist from the 19th century, and Blois is a city in France known for its fine porcelain work. This item could potentially be a piece of antique porcelain, possibly from the late 19th to early 20th century.
