I recently inherited a suite of 1920s Jacobean Dining Room Furniture. I would like to sell the suite to help finance my children's college education. The suite is in good, but not pristine, condition. The only information my aunt gave me about the furniture is that is was purchased by my great grandfather in the mid to late 1920s. I found no distinguishing marks or paperwork. The furniture was delivered to my home earlier this year. The enclosed pictures were taken in my driveway on August 1st, 2023. Of course, the furniture is stored safely in my residence in Lenoir, NC.

Lewis Evans is a watercolour artist from Hawke's Bay, NZ, who is listed as being active from 1915-41 (though there appear to be works from 1910-45). There were exhibitions of his works in 2020 and 2021 at MTG Hawke's Bay (mtghawkesbay.com). The gallery has both donated and purchased works of his.
I have acquired two early pieces dated 1913 (pond scene) and 1914 (bay scene). There was an earthquake in 1922 which changed the landscape which makes the works more of interest. There is a tear at the top of the 1914 piece which could be restored.
I am based in the UK and have no idea how the items arrived here. I could try to find out but haven't yet tried to.
