An Piece that could be from Guiseppe Armani, but I don't know how to verify that. So I want to know if its really form him and not a replica, and what it's worth. I got it from an old house that someone bought, together with other valuable antique. So I wouldn't be surprised if its real. It has a certificato di garanzia, with art n.: 499 and controllo n.:8. On the back it has a mark with black marker, it seems. On the side are the letters g. a. engraved and on the bottom is a badge with made in italy taped. The badge and mark could maybe be added later.
I purchased several Helmut Diller Anri music boxes of birds, such as Teals, Mallards, Pintail, Swans, in the 1980's and was wondering if these are of any value? I've seen these sold on auction sites but wasn't sure if the prices they were asking on these sites bear any merit. They play a different song for each type of bird, such as "Gypsy Baron Waltz" for the Pintail and "Swan Song" for the swan. They measure around 4 or 5 inches in diameter. I still have the boxes which were just plain brown corrugated boxes some marked with an Anri sticker and others just with a description of they type of music box.
I found these two items at a thrift shop - the teacup has RS Prussia markings and the saucer has RS Germany markings. They are both very light and they are not opaque (they let light through). I don't know if they are real or fake or how much they are worth. There is no date on them either. They are off-white with an orange rose detail and some gold edging as well. No chips or scratches.
Large gold metal Rococo? frame with bubble glass and a tin back. Glass/picture size is 14" x 20". I am looking to find out if it is American or European. Early 20th or late 20th (1970s?) and how I could tell that in case I come across something like this again. I am really looking to learn. Thank you so much in advance for any help.
Just looking for more information on this vase. I don't see transfer halftone. I do see brush strokes with my loupe (I even see a finger print :) ) I am thrown off because it has no makers marks or signatures on the bottom only "France". Any info would be great, time period. Is it Limoges. Is it fake? Maybe a guess at a maker. I'm really looking to learn. Thanks so much for your time.
