Antique Bonnie Prince Charlie brass fork featuring a decorative handle with a bust of Bonnie Prince Charlie and the inscription 'Culloden 1746'. The fork measures approximately 47 cm in length and is in good condition with some signs of aging.
It is 17" tall and 8" wide. Half of it holds water/tea and the other half holds coal/embers to keep it warm. There is a small door at the bottom of the coal side for cleanout. Inside the coal side are tubes where liquid would flow to warm the tea. The bottom of the pot is very worn and if there are makers marks, I can't tell them apart from scratches. It is beautifully etched all around in an Asian motif. It looks to have been crudely repaired at the spout long ago. It was black but i polished it a few years ago. Please any help would be appreciated by my family. Thank you.
This is an antique copper/silver plate ink box with carving. Ink sticks were kept inside and Inside the lid is an ink stone for abrading the ink sticks to make your own ink. The ink stone is cracked.
It measures approximately 4 1/4 inches wide x 3" x 1 1/2 inches (outer dimension) deep.
The carving depicts cherry blossoms (at least I assume they're cherry), branches of the tree, and some Chinese characters. There are ink stains on the box. There is an artist's stamp on top. If anyone knows what the characters mean, please let me know!
This carved jade piece has a circumference of approximately 2 1/4 inches. It depicts what I believe are large felines facing off. The center rotates.
There is a seal attached with a Chinese imprint. Can anyone tell me what is written on the seal?
