I found this darling at a goodwill about 5 years ago.
I did some perfunctory investigation and found it to be all shaped wood (including bottoms of drawers and backs of casing being shaped solid wood panels with a good amount of shrinkage in our dry Colorado climate) aside from the brass? Fixtures, and the ends of the pillar accents.
It is 2 separate pieces, and seems to have been refinished at some point as even the backs of the locks have finish coating them along with every inch of wood, and thus I haven't been able to spot and signatures or makers marks
I have tried to find more about a period or style and have been leaning towards 1890s but just am not sure.
I want to know how old she is, the style, and an approximation of value!
3 drawer mahogany/cherry?dresser I believe Sheraton style possibly had a mirror has 3 tags from Grand Rapids Furniture Co one is Dexter one is True Grand Rapids and one is a satin strip saying Grand Rapids the bottom face of each drawer has the # 009 or 006 impression marked on it. The front legs are spiraled columns missing two of the brass/bronze pulls not sure if they are true to the piece... I rescued this from the dumpster I have been cleaning it with a mixture of AC vinegar lemon juice and olive oil. My original thought was to paint it but quickly changed my mind once started cleaning up. Would like to know the age and value as I have not found another similar piece from this company to compare it to... Thanks I eagerly await to read the feedback 😊
I have an O. W. Richardson bed frame. It has the company's logo on the top, backside of the headboard. Also, on the backside of the headboard there are the letters stamped in black ink that reads "NO 106 WALNUT.)
I don't know much about this piece but the photos might help. My grandmother has had it for a long time and asked me to find out more about it for her.
