Curious About This Ceramic Vessel – Insights Welcome!

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Mint
Description

Hey everyone! I recently came across this beautiful ceramic piece and would love to learn more about it.

What is it? I’m guessing it’s a handmade ceramic vessel or pot.

Where could it be from? Any thoughts on its cultural origin or style?

How old might it be? It looks vintage, maybe even antique?

Why might it be significant? Does it hold any traditional or historical importance?

If you recognize the patterns, materials, or techniques—or just have a hunch—I’d be grateful for any info you can share. šŸ™

Thanks in advance for helping me uncover its story!

Mahogany Round Pedestal Drum Side Table

Category
European Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

"Hi everyone, Anthony joining the group! I'm a collector with a few years under my belt, focusing on decor, vintage, antiques, and ethnic/aboriginal items, along with a general admiration for all things art and culture. I'm excited to finally connect with fellow enthusiasts and hopefully get some help with a challenging identification.

I'm currently trying to pinpoint the exact date and style of this Mahogany Round Pedestal Drum Side Table. Based on my research, I'm leaning towards 1833, but I'm open to the possibility of 1933. Any insights or knowledge from those with more experience would be incredibly valuable.

Here are the item's specifics:

  • Type: End Table, Side Table, Drum Table
  • Material: Mahogany, Leather
  • Style/Period: (Seeking your input!)
  • Original/Reproduction: Original
  • Color: Brown
  • Shape: Round
  • Features: Single Drawer, Pedestal Base, Tripod Base, Claw Feet, Leather Surface
  • Country/Region of Origin: (Uncertain)
  • Dimensions: Height: 27 inches (68.5 cm), Width: 25.5 inches (64.7 cm)

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer!"
