The Lenox Shop Dining Set

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

This was my great aunt's dining set in Grosse Pointe, MI who had it from the 1910s.  She gave to my mother when my aunt was ready to downsize.  My mother had it until the 1970s in Grosse Pointe.  My brother took it over from my mother and moved it to the east coast of Florida.  It is now i Southwest Florida.  The label is from The Lenox Shop Furniture, NY.  The chest is an unusual china cabinet, shaped like a pirate's chest.  The buffet still has the original key.  The table seats 6 - 10 but the leaves are absent.  It has been reupholstered at least 3 times that I know of.  All three times it was done with red damask which is now faded.

Found this behind an insignificant picture

Category
Other
Condition
Excellent
Description

My father looked at it and he said the signature is Charleston Wilson it's a sketch not sure if it's pencil or charcoal but it is an original not a copy or a print. The top and bottom was folded back to fit in the frame but other than that it's in good condition. It's probably 15 by 17 or 18 tall not sure as I didn't have it here with me now. I measured it when it was folded which would have been approximately 13 x 16. It's definitely an original.

Vintage Folk Art Painting

Category
Paintings
Condition
Good
Description

This is a fork art vintage painting, acrylic? on wood.

Still life, geranium in a pot. Colors are very vibrant.

On solid wood, 0.75'' thick, not sure what type of wood, its' texture can be seen on the back.

The painting is signed in initials in the lower right corner and also full signature at the back.

Reads like: 1973 June M. Eleury.

I did not manage to recognize the artist, likely local Canadian artist.
