antique appraisal - Dropfront Secretary Desk by Monitor I don't know much about this desk but I did see one on here and it is the same it has the signature in side the desk and it is by Monitor with the picture like the one on here I am just wanting to see what the value would be and I think the other one said it was back from 1940 but not sure
was bought by family member, who passed it on to us. he bought it in SF at Gumps. from what i understand. gumps has been open for 150 years, started early as a mirror and frame shop, later they were a high end home decor store, and now they are a mostly high end decore auction. the store was opened at 268 post st. and in 1906 the big SF earth quake the store burned to the ground. which would lead me to believe the mirror is pre 1906.
Antique Lundstrom Furniture Secretary in excellent condition. No scratches or bruises. This fine piece of furniture has a metal tag inside the top drawer that reads Lundstrom Furniture 1879 with some sort of crest impressed on it. This secretary is for sale.
