I found this item. I do not know much about it I looked it up online and all I could find was that it was vintage and possibly Amish. I'm just wondering what the value of this is and if it is actually vintage or valuable at all.
This secretary desk is over 100 yes old. J W Maddox moved his family here in 1902 from up north and the desk came with him. It's 72 inches tall,62 inches wide counting the drop down. Has the original key that came with it.
I have a pencil sketch of Walter Scott with a signature...I can see on the back of the frame that it was reframed in 1970. I took it to a frame ng place and they said it was definitely displayed somewhere because of the hardware used...
Peck & Hills Bedroom set. It has been painted. Headboard and footboard for a full size bed, Dresser with secret drawer on right side and Mirror, Tall Chest with Mirror, Vanity table with 3 panel folding mirror. Also have coordinating desk chair and rocking chair that are in need of repair.
Not sure how to date the piece or describe the style (Queen Anne, Chippendale, Greek Revival?) which makes it hard to price.
