Ā I do not know what the intended purpose of this item was meant to be. It currently hangs on the wall, but I am not sure if it was meant to be a decor piece or part ofĀ something else. I assume it is made of iron and features an eagleĀ sitting on a horseshoe with a medal in the middle. The bottom reads G.A.R. and above the medal it reads 1888. I have researched the medal and found it listed as both a GAR membership medal and a GARĀ Ladies Auxilary medal. I don't know much aboutĀ the origin of the piece because it has beenĀ in my husband's family so long that no one knows really where it began. Any information on its intended purpose or origin would be wonderful asĀ we research family history. Thanks in advance!Ā

This campaign button was found in my mother's belongings when she passed away.Ā It belonged to my grandfather who, in 1908, was in Pennsylvania.
Ā Note:Ā I have a photo, but could not get the insert image icon to work!

I can't seem to find a bowl with this design.Ā I'd appreciate it if you could tell me the design, how much it is worth, and how old it might be.
Also this bowl has two patterns.Ā Inside it looks like some kind of serpent and on the outside it has flowers and what looks like rasberries.
The inside of this bowl reminds me of an octopus, maybe that might be what it is?
Thank you
jamin
