the painting has a label on the rear with Peerart products an original painting artist Haller title Swiss scene. also a made in Austria stamp and a what i can only describe as a frank mark as in postage which is blurred.
It has been sanded down and polyurethaned by me - when I received it someone had sloppily painted the entire surface faint red.
The dresser and Vanity both came with a large heavy circular mirror (which is still in excellent condition)
I believe they are made from pine because they dent easily, but the surface has a dark wood veneer inlaid with burl wood veneer. It looks to be art deco based on the drawer pulls and the rounded side corners.
The dresser has 3 large dovetailed drawers
The vanity seems short (maybe for a child). down each side are a drawer and a cabinet.
I'm mostly curious about the history of these items (where is it from, when was it made, etc)
6 serving spoons, 6 each of each kind of fork, 6 each of each kind of spoon, 6 sugar spoons, 12 butterknives, 1 carving knife, one large 2 tine fork, one decorative spoon.
We found this letter in a box that belonged to my great great grandmother. She & Amelia Earhart grew up together in Atchison, KS. When Amelia traveled, they often wrote letters back & forth. It is dated May 1926 & signed "Amelia Earhart". I do not know if the original envelope still accompanies the letter, as I do not have it in my possession at this time, so I'd just like an idea of what a letter from Ms. Earhart might be worth.
