Louvered, moving left to rt reads "HEINZ TOMATO SOUP, HEINZ (on big pickle), then read HEINZ BAKED BEANS". I know for a fact that Mr. H J Heinz ll, paid $600 in 1969 foor a faded sign, for the Company Centennial. (I was an Ass't Mgr in Heinz Trade & Public Relations Dept then. This sign is exceptionally rare and I have not been able to find another for value comparison. The Heinz Company may have used them in their local Company Store and made similar signs for their better customers. These had the louvered area compressed hoizontally by 2/3 to allow printing of the customer store info on one end. The colors are cream of tomato on the ouside bevel, then navy blue. There is gold framing around the copy and tin louver ares. The Heinz pickle is on a cream background and he product names are spelled out in cream.
