Hi! Someone is offering me this French Gobelin; he says it's a Dubon brand from France and made during the second half of the XX century.
The frame is made of wood, gold leaf, and plaster. No glass. It measures 200 cm height, 90 cm tall.
My questions are:
Does anyone know more about this brand?
Do you all think that antique was made during the second half of the XX century?
How much does it value?
I am trying to get all this info before buying it to ensure I am making a good choice and not overpaying it.
Small rose shaped candle stick holder. Bottom says Apilco and FD Chauvigny in gold writing. Also has a gold symbol on the side. Looks like the theosophical society symbol or something similar.
This has been in the family for a while, but unfortunately anyone who would know anything about it is now gone. I don't seen any maker's marks on the reverse or undercarriage. I'm hoping for any information at all--approximate age, value, anything. Thank you in advance!
34 x 26 GLASS portion.
I have very little history.
Bought local in alabama.
Was said to be an antique?
Would Iove any information at all.
Style/ type/ technique?
Muti colored.
No chips. No cracks.
Thank you.
Wooden Butter Churn, would like an appraisal on the wooden butter churn. Research the butter churn and did not find the information to narrow down an amount.
This was saved from the trash by my grandmother in 1914. I had it framed with its original mat. Each image on a 2×3 card stock and taped to back of mat by original artist. A note that is on the back of mat, I copied and placed on back of closed frame. I'm guessing done in late 1800s?
