Hepplewhite Mahogany Pembroke Table; shaped leaves and top; tapered square legs; secret drawer, line inlay; American, circa 1790. Has been in our family since 1940.
I'd like to find out more about this piece of furniture. I believe it is a buffet table, but I'm not certain. It is solid hardwood (possibly oak?), and the label says "Montour Furniture Company." I wasn't able to find much info about the company, aside from a reference to it being a company that was based in Mountoursville, PA. Specifically I want to know what it is actually for, and how much it might be worth.
I have a couple of sconces made by Camer that had hung in a NYC bank before it was demolished. They each have 32, 11.5 inch crystal prisms. The electrical part of the fixture is not in usable condition.
