Antique Chair-Appraisal needed

Category
Furniture
Condition
Fair
Description

I recently obtained a chair that belonged to my great-grandmother and I was hoping to see if you could assist me in providing any information on the item and/or the approximate value. There are no screws or nails, it's only constructed of wooden dowels and wooden wedges. The wedges are where the legs meet the seat to expand the leg piece into the seat piece. The chair back has leather that wraps the front of the chair-back, around the top edge of the chair back. The leather is attached via decorative thumbtack-style pieces. The chair back itself is attached to the chair-back uprights buy actually being inserted into the two uprights. There's no name of manufacturer, just 2 sets of numbers that I photographed. (3991 is stamped into the bottom of seat and just below that the numbers 5-379 are stamped) The back itself is one solid piece where the craftsman hand carved a design using what I guess was a chisel, in a floral-like pattern. There are spots between the hand-carved pattern that go entirely through the back, which you'll see from the pics as well. I appreciate your assistance and look forward to hearing anything that you may know about this single chair. I do not have a set, just the one.

Thank you

Chinese Tea Set

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Excellent
Description

I have a tea set from China: two cups and saucers, Tea carafe, sugar bowl and creamer. Underneath it looks to be made out of Porcelain, it is painted green with gold accents like a dragon and some other characters.  I'd like to know where it came from, who made it, when it was made and how much is it worth.

My Mother got this from her Great Grandmother. Her great grandmother told her that she got it from a painter ( I think his name was Vos) who painted the Chinese Emperess. He had gotten it from China or the Empress.

This is a letter that I found in the attic. It is dated January 13, 1936 on White House letterhead. I have the original envelope (in somewhat poor condition. Stamp not attached but present) as well as the letter (in good condition, I presume).

VERY INTERESTING CERAMIC ELEPHANT~CARRYING REAL PRESIDENTE BRANDY

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Condition
Good
Description

Hoping someone can give me more information on this VERY interesting and unusual ceramic elephant carrying an ice bucket and what appears to be a real miniture bottle of PRESIDENTE Brandy.  The elephant and wagon is mainly cream in color with mauve colored markings on ears and trunk.  The ice bucket is brown with green color around the rim.

It looks like it is pulling a cart or wagon that has a large ice bucket on it.

Inside the bucket is One (1) real mini bottle of PRESIDENTE Brandy and Eight (8) other miniature bottles which are plastic.

  • Green bottle with Sidra Noche Buena label on it.
  • Brown Coca Cola bottle.
  • Amber colored bottle has Cerveza Pafifico Clara label on it.
  • Clear bottle with blue lid.  I can't see what it has written on it.
  • Clear bottle with gold top has HORNITOS label on it.
  • (2) smaller yellow bottles in front have Corona Extra label on them.
  • Smaller amber bottle in front, I can't see what it says.

I cannot see any markings underneath or anywhere on this.

I'm hoping someone can give me more information about this and it's value.

Thank you!
