This was found in the backyard of my parents house in Ohio. It is 18K yellow gold with a ruby gemstone. "NHS" on one side. A wildcat on the other side. "BALFOUR" engraved inside.
This glasses were given to me as a gift and they have no markings on the bottom so I can't identifiy them. They are tall, fluted and probably hand blown-the glass is in excellent condition. I've used them for parfaits, champagne, or iced tea. The set of six glasses have translucent colored stems: two gold, two green and two blue. The detail in the stem is beautiful-almost like an open flower holding the bottom of the glass.
I am interested in their value but am also very curious to find out what they were intended for and what year/decade they are likely from. Thank you!!!
ole bull stamped on back, butterfly or flower motif engraved in tuning peg plate, german manufactured sticker on inside. the case appears to be some sort of alligator-like fabric, pretty beat up case. the violin itself is in fair condition.
Item appears similar to a watch, slightly smaller than a men's pocket watch and larger than a woman's lapel watch. Item has circular face with fob ring at top and wheel for measuring distance at bottom. Face has one row of 12 numbers with gradations positioned like a clock's, which indicate inches. Inside that row is another, one through 25, which indicate feet. Hands similar to a clock's indicate feet and inches, the large hand inches and the smaller feet. The plating, which appears to be silver, is worn in spots, exposing what appears to be brass. The measuring wheel moves freely and accurately.
