Hand Made and Carved Glazed Clay Item

Category
Pottery
Condition
Good
Description

I don't really know what this item is. I have had it for a long time and purchased it because i liked it. It appears that it is some sort of clay food cooker/warmer, but I may be totally wrong. It measures approx. 21 1/2" long, it is quite heavy. It has 4 circular holes through each side and the item is the shape of a fish or shark. The mouth is wide open and appears that something can be placed inside. The top looks like food or something can be placed on it. It is glazed natural clay color. All hand carved and made. No markings that are visual. Please help! I would like to sell it, but don't know what it is exactly.

Silver Service

Category
Silver and Silver Overlay
Condition
Excellent
Description

Attached are 3 pictures of a silver service and tray set . I took the pictures with my cell phone and the exposure doesn't look too good. The pieces look like they are tarnished. But they are not. Rather just poor lighting. They are all in really good condition.

The tray is about 25" long. On the back of the items is the name of EPCA Bristol Silver by Poole. And each piece has a number below the name. On the tray the number is 73 22. The other pieces have the number 110.   I have been the sole owner of the set as it was a wedding gift 50 years ago.

Thank you for your time.

Reichard Krause Majolica Centerpiece Cachepot

Category
Ceramics and Porcelains
Description

Any assistance you could provide as to value is appreciated. I picked this up at a yardsale in Eastern NC for 3.00 dollars . The makers mark I was able to locate in a google e-book “A Book of Pottery Marks” by W. Percival Jerris, printed in 1897. It is mark #82. It is a shield/crest with a wide-line diagonal in the center, M on the bottom and K on the top of the \. There is a small crown at the top, which is difficult to make out. It is impressed into the clay, The vase/cache bowl is about 6” tall, 9” length, 5” wide, the bowl is about 4” deep. There is crazing on the interior and a few small chips. It weighs about 1.5 pounds.,

It has vibrant colors and I believe was handpainted (the colors blend together and there is some overlap in a few places). Its got a high glaze on it. The bottom clay is a light beige.
