Williamsport Furniture Company Pennsylvania Bedroom Set

Category
Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

One full size bed with headboard.  Two night tables with 3 drawers each. One long bureau with huge mirror. One highboy dresser with seven drawers.  Wood is either mahogany or cherry, I think.  Motif of design on bed, mirror and drawer handles seems to be some kind of curtain swag or valance.... Beautiful.  Excellent condition every piece.

Would love to know anything I can- such a pretty set, I have never seen anything like the mirror or motif of this design.  All I know is the Wiliamsport Furniture Company, Williamsport, Pennsylvania brass tag on the inside of one of the drawers.

Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you!  macherie117

Dresser with Mirror

Category
Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

I bought this dresser off an individual.  She said it had been in her family for as long as she can remember.  It is solid wood.  2 long drawers and then 2 small drawers on the side.  It has lighter wood with drawing on it.   I've attempted to research and can only find this style around 1870-75.    All the drawers still work.   I just am trying to pinpoint when it was made and what value it has.

Heavy, odd statue

Category
Decorative Arts
Condition
Fair
Description

I have aquired theis piece at our apartment in the back yard recently. We have lived here for some time and our children discovered this statue. It looks like it may be of a South American or African origin. It is heavy, weighing about 20lbs, as it is made of some sort of heavy metal  and has been outside and weathered. I do not know much more about it but am curious to.
