Alfre Keates signed china

Category
China
Condition
Good
Description

I have a dessert set and several other pieces that match.  Alfred Keates painted these, and signed the 9 dessert plates (7 1/2" plates), and the 8 cups, as well as the coffee pot.  The other pieces match but are not signed.   They are painted with orange blossoms and heavy gold trim and some outlines.  They also have a wide rosey blush tint painted nesrest the gold edges that blends into white.  I know Keates was famous for his florals.  He painted for the Pickard Studios from 1903-1910 and went out on his own after until 1934 when he retired.  The cups and saucers are on J & S Jsolde blanks.  The dessert plates are Thomas Sevres.  The other pieces, with the exception of the sugar basket are all done on Rosenthal.  I can't read the markings on the bottom of the sugar basket, as it's too faded.  But it looks like it was originally a reddish brown shield with writing below in a curve.

Condition:  9 plates, 8 cups, and 9 saucers:  Excellent  No crazing, chips, cracks or gold loss I can see.

Coffee pot:  Missing iid, 2 chips inside rim, gold loss.

Sugar basket, trinket plate:  minimum gold loss, no chips, cracks, crazing

Cream & sugar:  Gold loss on handles, no chips, cracks, crazing.

I couldn't upload any more pics.  It said they were too big and I don't know how to change it.

Universal Statuary Corporation Complete living room set

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

My wife inherited this set and we know very little about it. All we know is that it was purchased by her Aunt in 1967 from the Universal Statuary Corporation. It appears to be made of porcelain. It is dated as 1967. I've seen similar coffee tables that are golden selling for $2500. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
