Ohio Match Company - Ohio Blue Tip matchbooks

Category
Other
Condition
Good
Description

Matchbooks - created by the Ohio Matchbook Company in 1981, they are called Ohio Blue Tip. It is specifically called the "Origin of Words series Matchbooks"

Colors are muted green, brown, yellow and red and feature a cartoon-like picture of an individual or object on the front, with a word and definition associated with that picture on the back of the matchbook where you would strike it. For example, on one of them, there is an officer riding in a "police" wagon. on the back the word is "Paddy Wagon" and a definition is provided.

Are these collectable? I cannot find anythining on the internet about them?

Condition
Good
Description

My Buddah was purchased in japan by my grandfather during wwii. There are no stamps or signatures that i can find. There is a small crack at the fold of his robe that unfortunately happened in 2009, in my carry on bag , despite my effort to protect him. He appears to me to be clay or ceramic, not at all glossy.

WW II era Japanese record album

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Good
Description

I have a cloth bound, in bambo, 78rpm record album with records from that era with American recording artists.  The only history I can atest to is my own knowledge of it.  When I found the album , in 1956, in an abandoned house in southside Ft. Worth, Texas.  It has been in my possession ever since.

Each compartment/sleeve of the album , there are twelve, contains a record.  The vinyl records are popular artist for the era, to include Bing Crosby, Guy Mitchel ,Doris Day , Romary Clooney and others.  The sleeves indepently have Japanese photos/drawings on the front an back.  There is a lot of words in Japanese in the album.  I have taken digital photos of it if that would help.
