1949 Drexel Kneehole Desk. Gorgeous detail. Is it valuable?

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

I don't know anything about this piece other than the logo inside of the drawer that reads "Drexel" and the stamp on back that states a # of 2121-2, The Georgian Group, Drexel, 12-49.

I gather that the piece was made 12/1949 and perhaps the collection was part of the Georgian Group? I truly have no idea.

I purchased the piece to refinish with paint, but upon closer inspection...I had second thoughts.  I certainly do not wish to devalue this gorgeous piece and if it is worth more as-is, so it shall remain :)  It is in ok shape.  The top and feet need some love.

Many Thanks for your time.

Very Rare Epworth Williams Pump Organ Style 357 Number 29840 July 22, 1915 Highly Collectible

Category
Music and Music Instruments
Condition
Good
Description

This organ still plays, has original bench. Leather strap on one of the pedals has broke. It is being sold by the origial church it was bought for in 1906. Have the original Certificate and Warrantee.

The Williams Piano & Organ Company was established in 1855 by J.W. Williams as the J.W. Williams Company, and in 1884 the name was changed to J.W. Williams & Sons. The firm incorporated as the Williams Piano & Organ Company in 1889. They built a large, state-of-the-art factory at Fullerton Avenue in Chicago where both their pianos and reed organs were built. Williams enjoyed a very good reputation for building higher quality, durable instruments. They built pianos and organs under the brand names of Williams & Sons, Epworth, and Pennington. The firm was out of business before the Great Depression.

A vintage Epworth in good appearance and working order will generally sell from $3,500 to $8,000 to a collector or enthusiast.

Asking $5000 for this rare piece of Americana.
