Based on the images and the hardware this piece is in the French Provincial style and possibly originated in Quebec, Canada, then a French Colony. The Canadian pieces tend to be rougher than their French counterparts. The style first appeared during the mid 1700's and was made in the Colonies into the early 19th Century. A very nice piece, we'd retail one for about $1500.00 these days.
