105 year old wood columns

By DerekT83, 22 January, 2013
Description

Home was built in 1908.  Columns are in great condition other than some very minor cracking. I would love to know what I could sell these for.

Thanks!

Re: 105 year old wood columns

Realistically, similar columns have been commanding $250-300 at auction for pairs, and this generally represents the market well. In a good economy and without a ideas furniture market, $1000-1500 would have been expected.

Re: 105 year old wood columns

We had a pair like this we retailed for $750.00 last year and paid about $400.00 for them at auction. A lot depends on your local market, Decorators were hot for these a while ago, not so much now as repros are available at lumber stores.
