Description
looks to be made of a ceramic/porcelain. has a metallic look and feel to it on the outside with green showing thru in the grooves. the inside looks to be glazed and is greenish-black in color. the bottom has no signiture or name but, 1563 ITALY is carved in the bottom. I have tried to look up pictures of similiar items online. i never did find one that looked like this item however i did find pictures of other items in that era with dates and 'ITALY' written in the same manner on the bottom. That is as far as i could find.
Re: 1563 italy ceramic vase
It isn't from 1563, the number just refers to the mold or model number. This is a 20th century piece, country of origin marks as a general rule do not predate the late 19th Century.
