A large late 1800's original wood framed picture (70"X 50) from the Max Factor collection depicting a collage of photos(?) of Broadway stars of the day (1800's) under glass that originally hung in the lobby of the Weber & Fields Theatre in NYC until 1905 when the theatre was closed. The item has a brass plaque on the bottom of the frame that says " 1931- stage stars who entertained audiences during the turn of this century, the most flourishing and romantic period in the theatre.  This collection adorned the lobby of Weber & Fields Theatre in New York City, until the building was razed about the year 1905"

The picture was kept (owned) by Max Factor (company) until it was displayed at the Hollywood Entertainment Museum when I purchased it 2009. The item includes letter of authenticity from the Hollywood Entertainment Museum.

History The original owners of this item were Joe Weber and Lewis Fields of Weber & Fields, the most popular vaudeville act of the late 1800's into the early part of the 1900's. They had a theatre in NYC where the framed picture had adorned their lobby. The item then on to be owned by Max Factor then to the Hollywood Entertainment Museum.
