1800's Oak Sideboard

By kw57, 23 July, 2008
Description

This peice was bought fifteen years ago, and has had little to no use.  Recently I have moved to a much smaller house and there is no room for it.  I even have a t.v. sitting on it, which is why I would like to sell it, so it can be displayed properly.  The Top columns, mirror and canopy are detachable.  It is in excellent conditon.  I paid $1,600.00 for it fifteen years ago and would like to know what it is worth today,

Re: 1800's Oak Sideboard

Your piece actually dates from the turn of the 19th Century, most were made circa 1890. Values for these pieces peaked about the time you bought yours, today if it is in very good condtion it's worth about what you paid for it. Very few of these now sell for over $2000.00, most in the $1200.00- $1600.00 range.
