1841 Bronze bell

Description

Possibly a ship bell, although there is no ship name on it. There iare no maker's marks or other identifying marks, except as pictured. Bird stamp is about 1.75 inches (diameter). Date stamp is aproximately 2.375 inches by .875 inches

Not shown in the pictures is the .375 inch hole at the top for connecting to whatever it was connected to.

I put some baby powder on the bell to try and make the bird, etc. stand out some.

The bell has a nice tone and is very loud.

Any help identifying this bell would be greeatyly appreciated.
