Description This item was passed down from my great great grandfather, Scott Garner. He is a known poet from WV and the poems were songs that they sung on the way to VA to fight southerners in the Civil War. The Victorian type lettering is amazing in detail. Each persons name in the book has flowers drawn around them and their hair in woven into the paper like a braid in different shapes. If one of the names died, there is a golden angel flap placed over the name of that persons hair weave. There are sever poems also inside the book and on the cover. It is a paperback book, but still in excellent condition for its age.
