This watch has 14k gold filled engraved on the back around the top edge. The serial number is on the inside. That is how I found out what year it was made. The watch is not working, but it is in great shape. I would like to know the value for insurance purposes. Thank you

Check the elgin website. They have a listing of serial numbers and can give you more details.
