Description
This is a sewing maching that my mother purchased over 30 years ago. The patent on it states 1901-1903. It also states a serial type # on it and it is C3715518. I do not know much about antiques but I am looking to get rid of this. Was just looking for what a fair price would be,

This looks very similar to one that I have. Do you know what the brand is? There is generally a name across the front bar. I'd love to get any information as I have not been able to find it on mine. I have a Model W with a serial number W4286453. My booklet just has model number but no manufacturer.

Singer made tens of millions of these treadle machines, we have trouble getting $150.00 for them these days in the shop.

Mine is not a Singer. It's called an Improved Chautauqua. Trying to determine who made it.

The table and stand appear to be in really good shape - that's where your money is. I'm no expert, but there aren't many sewing machine collectors and people don't want to sew on an old sewing machine. So, you might consider converting the table and stand into a side table.

That's a good idea. The table is made of oak and very sturdy. I appreciate the idea.
