Description These chairs were brought over from Europe in WWII when my family migrated to the US. They moved from Russia to the Ukraine then over sea to the US. The chairs are thought to have been hand crafted around 1904 or earlier and were made in Europe somewhere, but origin is unknown. They have been "recoverd" but the wood work is all original.

Chairs like this made at the turn of the 19th century tend to be a "hodge podge" of previous styles from Empire to Louis IV and are not very popular in the current market. Demand peaked for early 20th Century furniture peaked in the early 1990's. at auction comparable chairs often sell for under $200.00 each. Lovejoy
