The gold on this piece appears to be genuine and is worn in some places, from age, I assume. There is a hairline fracture in one side that I was unable to photograph very well at all.

History
I have found that the stamp on the the bottom of the vase (if that's what it's called!) means that Erdmann Schlegelmilch was the artist and that it was made in the 1920's.
