Description
This item was given to my husband's grandfather in the early 1930's. He owned a pork store in Brooklyn, New York and received this set as a promotional item from a sales rep for Buttoni Pasta.
The set includes the pot with cover, creamer with cover, sugar, and 6 cups and saucers.
The bottoms are marked either "FOR BUTTONI...NEW YORK...DERUTA ITALY" or merely "DERUTA ITALY".
The set is in mint condition. I would like to know its value.

Re: 1930's BUITONI PASTA PROMOTIONAL ITEM COFFEE SET
I confirm the correct spelling is "BUITONI".
Re: 1930's BUTTONI PASTA PROMOTIONAL ITEM COFFEE SET
you are correct. The spelling has been Buitoni since it's inception
Re: 1930's BUTTONI PASTA PROMOTIONAL ITEM COFFEE SET
I have the same set - have you found out anything more about the value?
Re: 1930's BUTTONI PASTA PROMOTIONAL ITEM COFFEE SET
would you be willing to share pics of your set and give me it's history? If you would prefer to do that privately my email is [email protected]. I am researching this particular set. I have found out a few things about it. The pattern is "Ricco" and it does originate from Deruta Italy.
thanks,
Robin
Re: 1930's BUTTONI PASTA PROMOTIONAL ITEM COFFEE SET
I do not know the value of your set but I suspect if it is in mint condition that that alone makes it valuable. I have the identical set and the glaze is NOT from China if that is what you were referring to. :) It is handcrafted and handpainted in Deruta, Italy.
