1930's Log Cabin/Art Deco Style Maple Twin Bedroom Suite

Description

Bedroom Suite purchased in 1932 for my then 9 yr old mother.  Made by the Forest Furniture Co in N Wilkesboro, N.C. and shipped to Denver, Co. Sticker in one bed side rail. All dresser and vanity drawers are made with dovetail joints. The Furniture is solid maple consisting of:

1) Two twin beds with head and foot boards, side rails and slats,

2) 6 Drawer vanity with adjustable mirror and bench,

3) 5 drawer dresser/secretary with the 4th drawer from the bottom dropping open to a desk with slots and drawers,

4) upholstered sewing, nursing rocker, re-upholstered in the 60's

 and 5) bedside table and bookshelf added at the time, but not from Forest Furniture Co.

Purchased in 1932 from Forest Furniture in N. Wilkesboro, N.C. and shipped to Denver, CO. Has been used in family for all but last 10 years in family basement. Cut glass panels for all furniture tops, except bedside table. Some water damage to desk top, vanity and dresser - no peeling blistering or cracking, only discolored.
