Re: 1938 and 1939 pieces of plates from Grafenwoehr,West Germany
While complete plates from the early Nazi era are collectible and have some value, broken bits of them would have no value unless there was some provenance for them to a high ranking Nazi.

Re: 1938 and 1939 pieces of plates from Grafenwoehr,West Germany
I copyed this from an other comment I couldn't say it any better,
They were canteen dishes owned by the particular government departments . Each department had a different style of eagle . I think this particular eagle was for the infantry . The airforce had a flying eagle with curved wings . The work force depatment had a swastika in a cog and the SS had a symbol of a sharp SS . The cutlery had the coresponding marks . The name on you plate is HUTSCHENREUTER which is the maker . The lion is the company symbol and Bavaria is the shire where the factory was . It was a very big company and they had a few factorys in different parts of Germany . Every Government building and office block with a cateen and every army department (there was a big army) had those dishes . In Germany , not rare . There are departments which are (SS) , but not the infantr
If I had these I would use them as background display for German stamps, then I could ask more for the stamps.....just a idea for you.. Good Luck..Not much value,
