My dad found this case with some collectibles of his, and we searched for information on it and didn't come up with much. One cigarette case came close but the image was slightly different, with a different signature and no star mark on the back. Ebay sellers have a HUGE price difference ($5-1000) for very similar items, so I was left confused when trying to find a value/info for him.
Item has a signature that I think says "H.J.HESS" but I'm not sure (See pic)
A handmade star carving in the back corner, with China 45-46 on the back
The front has a palace or temple in the background and online I could only find a similar one that didn't have the building in the background, but had the farm, man, etc
