The Leica M3 was introduced in 1954 and was unique in a number of ways from predecessors, most notably featuring a combo viewfinder/rangefinder and the first incarnation of the bayonet lens mount which remains unchanged to this day.  It is considered by some to be simply the best camera of all time and was also their best-selling camera with over 220,000 sold before production ended in 1966.

Here's the exciting part... the body alone of a similarly fine specimen of this camera (without accessories) recently sold for about $1995.00!  The case by itself comfortably gets $50.  I can't tell for sure from the photos but if that's a Leica 50mm Summicron Lens attached it's worth about $400.
