Description
I recently found an Eisen Brothers, Inc. rocking chair that was made in Hoboken, NJ and I did an internet search for the maker, but found no information. I've attached a few pictures of the piece and the tags I located on the bottom of the piece and would appreciate any information anyone has about this chair or maker. I think it's from the 1950s or 60s, but not sure of date or current value. Thanks for your time.
Re: 1960s? Rocking Chair
I have this exact chair. I bought it at the SAlvation Army for $25 in 1999.
Re: 1960s? Rocking Chair
Not sure when you posted this item. I am the grandson of Jesse Eisen, one of the Eisen Brothers. My grandfather had a chair just like that! I believe the item was manufactured by Eisen Brothers, based in Hoboken NJ sometime between 1950 and 1960. I can get a more exact date by speaking to some other family members. My grandfqther left Eisen Brothers in the early 60s and the company declared bankruptcy around 1967. I love seeing my family's furniture showing up on line. I still have a lot of it that I use on a daily basis. Very durable and timeless. Joshua Marcus

This is interesting to learn. I was searing for information about a makeup mirror that we found in our house. It folds and is wooden, and also electrified to put bulbs all around. The label is from Eisen Brothers in Hoboken.
