Description
I recently found a 19th century French hand fan by ALOUISE VAN DE VOORDE It is approx 16 in across, made of black Chantilly lace over silk, with mother-of-pearl sticks, a braided bronze clip with two paste stones, and a brown/gold and cream semi ornate tassell. The box says:
MEDAILLE deL re CLASSE PARIS 1855 Mention LONDRES 1862
MEDAILLE D'ARGENT PARIS 1867
ALOUISE VAN DE VOORDE
56.RUE CHARLOT, PARIS
I havent been able to find out anything about it other than it was made by ALOUISE VAN DE VOORDE. It is very similar to one other one made by her that I found. I want know know more about it, including what it is worth. I have been told that It is probably worth $150.00-200.00, but would like to know anything about it I can. Thanks!

Re: 19th Century Hand Fan by ALOUISE VAN DE VOORDE
The fan was made by AlouĂŻse van de Voorde, 56 Rue Charlot, Paris, winner of the silver medal at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1867.
Not a lot to add to what you already know, price seems about right, I just added this little tid bit.
