Hi I have 3 painting in rough condition dating back to 1600s to early 1800s.One is an old lady cant find any stamp but the frame is handmade because of the  handmade nailsand the wooden frame is hand made its 25inc across 29 half down.The other 2 are Gentlemen of Aristocratic  background The canvas of one is thick an when I peeled it back it said Prepared CR1364 Charles Roberson 51 Long Acre London.I found he made a white base of paint mixed with zinc in 1841. The third is a a younger man  with italic hand writing on the back  cant make it out Major Garcon?? and  below  says BANKS.

The Old women is the largest size an The genlemen on the right is the second largest

Old portraits like this can be highly valuable, but really require the services of a specialist appraiser to detemine authenticity and origins. I'd suggest contacting one of the larger auction houses such as Bonham's, Sothebys or Christies, there is no way anyone can determine what you have from images.
