Description

This desk is supposed to be  450 years old. My friend is a descendant of the  English Howard family which is where the desk is from, she had no paperwork for it or other history. There are modern screws holding the legs on, it has a few trim pieces missing. Felt has replaced what was leather on thewriting area. Has two deep drawers on each size, one smaller and a drawer in the center. There are also two small drawers on the top part of the desk. And there is a clock that goes with it, which has all it's parts but doesn't work.

Your desk is not 450 years old, its unlikely it predates the 1870's and appears to have been made up of parts of other pieces, including the clock. This was a common practice once in the Antique business, damaged pieces upgraded or repaired, for example a table top with damage legs mate wit the legs of a table with a badly damaged top.
