Updated: According to the original owner, this set is part of a 5-piece bedroom set made of solid hickory wood. Original finish in very good condition. It was bought around 1962-1963 from The May Company department store on Wilshire Blvd on the Miracle Mile in L.A. I can't seem to find a maker's mark or any indication of its origin. If I find out more about it, I will post further. If additional pictures are needed, I will happily oblige. If anyone thinks of a place to check for a maker's label that I might not have though of, please let me know. I'd just like an approximate worth on it. Any help is vastly appreciated! Re: 60s Bedroom/Office Set
This set is a very odd mix of styles and might be hard to sell in the current market. Currently there is a lot of 1950's to early 70's furniture on the market, a result of downsizing Baby Boomers. I've seen whole sets like this go for less than $500.00 at auction recently.
